These places
are our recommended Biker Friendly places to stay. Some run by Club
members so perhaps Biker Friendly is inaccurate. If you're coming
up for The
Wallace and/or want to have a good tour of auld JockLand then
these are ideal places to tour to/from.
(This page is much better viewed with IE4 up! Map spots and headings

Trossachs Backpackers Hostel, Callander
Luxurious by hostel standards, all rooms are en-suite and great
communal facilities. The club stayed here for the pre-Wallace meeting
and immediately booked for other events. Owners very friendly, have
bikes of their own - both motor and mountain varieties! They rent
out the mountain bikes in case you are feeling energetic. Price
is very reasonable and includes tea, coffee, juice, cereal and toast
for breakfast. Highly recommended if you wish to explore central
Scotland.

Got this e-mail from "Tom" See the Perthshire link
Above:
Just taken a look at your site and spotted the vast area of Perthshire
with no listed accommodation on your recommended accommodation map.
Please take a look at our site on www.visitperthshire.co.uk to see
our B&B and self-catering accommodations. We also have a bike
tour section on the site, routes, photos etc. Sorry about the Kawasaki
!

Seems a v. v. nice place and you can almost forgive
a) the Kawasaki and b) the links to BMW and Honda WebSites.
Unfortunately I might need to take a bank loan (or be a HOG member)
to stay there.
Updated e-mail - if you fancy touring in France or somewhere else.
You may notice their english is better than my Franglais - ok its
also better than me English an all:
Specialized in motorbike tours for 7 years, WEST EURO BIKES and
Nouveau Monde now offer a wider range of services and circuits across
France, Europe and all around the world.
Now, for a week-end or a week, you can enjoy both driving and discovering
new places. The experience of these two organizations in motorbikes
and travels allow them to meet any of your requirements:
- Hiring of motorbikes: customs or trails (YAMAHA 600, Transalp
650 Dragster, BMW F650, HARLEY DAVIDSON 883, 1340 Road King or Heritage,
etc.) - discovery circuits included or not.
- Organization of accommodation - of any kind (on demand) - and
possibility to use hotel vouchers for a complete freedom *.
- Circuits using a Road Book or a guide (depending on the area)
- motorbike hiring included or not.
Individuals, professionnals of tourism, persons in charge of motorbike
associations who are trying to organize events combining conviviality
and discovery, do not hesitate to let us know your specific requests!
* Example: a week-end for 1,450 FF (minimum per person) including:
hiring of a motorbike (unlimited distance, insurance included) and
3 hotel vouchers (double room in a ** hotel).

Somehow I can't see a British Tourist Board being so biker friendly
- which is their loss.
